I saw in a previous thread that the sensor is on the passenger side back portion of the 06+s seats. And they only sell you the bottom portion of the seat heater element. However I am almost sure that someone with a 06+ has done this install and had no issues with the sensor

It might be in this thread? Sorry I dont have time to read through it.

Heated Seat Thread

here is the thread and company that the gateway group did. one of the best mods you can do on the car. very convinent and useful for chilly top down days.

We all seemed to have found the same thread :)

I didn't see in there what years they were installing them on though. I have sent a PM to the guy who I thought organized the group buy and install to ask if any of them were put into 06+ models but no response as of yet. I will post here as I find out though. I may try to call someone from Honda tomorrow and just cut to the chase on this myself...

Still looking for an answer on the 06+ (mainly 07) passenger seat air bag sensor...

Where is it? Does it prevent installation of the heater pad in the back rest portion of the seat?

The removal of the seats was simple. The air bag sensor that I was worried about on the passenger seat looked like it was built into part of the seat pan/rail system so after the connectors were removed there was no problem separating the leather from foam.

Ahh so it is in the metal seat pan the foam pad sits in and on the rails, NOT in the back part of the seat at all... Must have just been a misunderstanding on the part of the installers at the particular shop. WELL good to know!

Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Oh but wait, I just re-read your post and you said you have an 01, just to be completely clear you are saying that you have installed them on an 06+ too? And there is no sensor in the backrest part of the seat?

Sorry to beat a seemingly dead hoarse, but I want to be sure before I spend the money on a kit I can only use half of.

There are no sensor in the backrest part of the seat. I have heat seats on my driver and passenger and it works like a charm on chilly days.

Good deal, thanks a million!

Have just fit some of these and they are great. I bought some of the switches with led's in but when they've arrived they have 4 cables, the fourth one obviously for the led's but was wondering how/where people have wired this fourth wire?

ATTENTION:

I read an article recently on the use of heated seats leading to infertility in men. Our B**ls are not capable of cooling down when that much heat is continuously being directed (I could see a lot of jokes coming from this) on the area.

So avoid keeping them on for long periods of time, unless you don't want little rugrats running around!
