search function is definitely your friend. this topic has been discussed backwards, forwards and sideways. here are some guidelines:

sound, aesthetics, weight, diameter, cost, application (FI or NA).

i would try and answer some of those questions first. and always here the exhaust in person, sound clips just don't do them justice.

Amuse, J's, ASM, Greddy, T1R, spoon, HKS, Mugen, tanabe, skunk2, invidia, toda, tracy sports the list goes on and on.

then you have to choose between ti and ss...

there is a long wait on j's racing stuff, so if you had that in the back of your mind you may want to reconsider unless you are a very patient person.

this so true especially the patient part....

also, picking the best exhaust depends on what u want...if u want the power u shud get the 70mm single cat back exhuast, imo its the best... but its loud...but if u want it not too loud go with a 60 or 63mm exhaust...brands of exhaust depends on ur budget...

the most important thing to do is figure out which of those things stated are most important to you.
i had a J's 60rs and now have an HKS.
most people would think that i'm crazy... maybe i am but i LOVE the look and sound of the HKS more than i enjoyed the weight savings of the J's. the j's did look good, limp dick is cool... but i like the HKS more!
