Single exit exhaust with zero drone
#41
Regarding modding the stock exhaust: has anyone tried cutting off the stock mufflers altogether and replacing them with aftermarket cylindrical canisters like HKS, Tanabe, Invidia style?

To update this thread, after having received some PM's about it:
I went with the Fujitsubo Power Getter as S_DosMil suggested, and I am extremely satisfied with this exhaust. Put maybe 15000 k's on it so far. It has absolutely ZERO drone, 100% guaranteed. Regarding sound, it's just a bit louder than stock with a decently satisfying scream in the upper RPM's. Nothing great or anything special, but enough of a change over stock to give you the feeling of driving something modified. It is basically like an aftermarket exhaust (deep bassy tones at idle and down low, screaming up high), but with the volume knob turned down. On top of that it is one of the cheapest exhausts too, with excellent build quality and fitment, and weighs about half of the stock exhaust. I really only have one downside, I measured some parts of the inner pipe diameter (the parts inside the resonators) to be smaller than 60mm (can't remember how much exactly, maybe like 57mm?). I would say this would hurt performance, however according to Fujitsubo's website the exhaust gains a couple of hp and I didn't notice any change versus the Cleib I had before.

Anyone know if the Fujitsubo Power Getter will fit on an AP2-06?
Everything i've found says AP1 00-03.

It drones at 3k-4k. Top down it is the best thing in the world. Makes some nice back fire sounds with my ballade sports hfc. I love it, but probably going to switch to the HKS SSM as it seems like it’ll eliminate all drone as a dual. Loved the single look, but I can’t stand drone anymore
