Default Soft Top Patching

I found a few threads on soft top patching using the search function, however, none were too up to date. I was curious as to what the most recent consensus was regarding soft top patching. Best methods? Material? Thanks.

I went to a local automotive upholstry shop asked for a scrap piece of soft top material. I then purchased some automotive stuff called goop that is actually the name and then cut a piece and applied it to the wear spot I had and all is good.

Order some Tear Aid from Cabela's. Get the Type B for vinyl. It works great. The tear hasn't gotten worse and still doesn't leak FTW!
