Default Springs, handling more important than drop

Good day all. I recently purchase a S2000 with 106K on the original springs. I'd like to put new springs and shocks on it to improve its handling but I do not have the cash for good coil overs so i'd rather get a very good set of springs and good shocks. I'd like to start autocrossing and other track events.

What are the best springs out there? I've owned miata's in the past and always Tein springs but was not sure if they are the best or who is better for the S2000.

Again, handling is MUCH more important than lowering as I don't really care about lowering my car.

Kg/Mm used to be very good, but they don't make them anymore.
The closest thing that comes to mind, are the Swift springs, with a set of Koni Yellow.

Thanks. I figured Koni yellows were the way to go but did not know about swift springs.

from what I hear, the springs most guys run are just for the drop. If you dont get COs, it might not be worth it to even switch from stocks. If you want, maybe you can try out the other various OEM springs? 00-01 vs. 02-03 vs. 04...to IDK what else years they changed.

I think changing the shocks will be a better use of your money than changing the springs? someone correct me if im wrong please!

WRONG, just kidding. i dont see how a drop wont improve handling if you use quality brand parts. lower center of gravity plus less roll around corners

I've read a few posts stating that good springs/shocks can be better than a cheap coilover setup. My S2K is more of a toy for me, so I don't have a huge budget for modifications for it as my wife/kids would kill me if I dropped 2k on a coilover setup.

I don't Auto-X but I felt my car corner a lot flatter after installing Tein S-techs. I would assume similar results for any other springs that drop your car and increase spring ratios.

Shoot, if you don't care about lowering your car at all, get a set of Koni Yellows and some OEM CR springs.

If lowering will help in overall handling then i'm all for it but I'm more interested in a great budget suspension. Ok a good budget suspension.
