Steering rack AP1 vs AP2
I have an Honda S2000 ap2 and the stearing rack is damaged (bent). I found a stearing rack of an Honda S2000 ap1 for selling.
Do you know if there is any kind of compatibility or whether it fits in my AP2?
Thanks.

I had two steering racks for my AP1. For the very high speed track at Road America, I would install my AP2 rack and for the rest of the technical tracks in the Midwest, I used the AP1 rack. It's a fairly quick setup. The rack, with a little maneuvering, goes right out and in the right wheel well.

I was looking at the EPS from year to year for the Specs and what the part numbers were each part of the system I found it interesting and confusing. Note the in 2004 the ratio changes, but the lock to lock remains the same while the rack part# changes as does the torque sensor and EPS unit. Then in 2006 the lock to lock changes but the part numbers remain the same as 04/05. From there, the rack part number remains the same until they discontinue the car. Only the EPS and TS part number are different on the CR.
So using this table to support my logic, you should be able to swap the EPS unit and TS to change the lock to lock and ration from a 2008 to a CR?

Not based on my finding. The table above was collected from Hondaautomotiveparts.com and their OEM parts catalog. Only the EPS computer and Torque Sensor had different part numbers. I know for a fact that a CR Torque Sensor will work in an AP1 (2000-2003)
