Default Wiring up horn for aftermarket wheel

Well, just installed a Sparco suede 330mm wheel, along with the standard WorksBell hub. The WB hub came with a connector with a single red wire coming out of it, which I'm assuming is for the horn. But, the connector does not fit anywhere. Figured it would go into the SRS reel, but no go.

Curious if anyone with an 06+ with aftermarket steering wheel might be able to chime in, for which wire is for the horn. There are a group of 3 wires for the cruise control, with a brown wire coming off of them. Which one of these would be for the horn? I just don't want to start hacking into every possible wire to test for the horn.

Oh, and I installed the two resistors supplied with the WB hub, but the SRS light still came on. Wondering if they're installed in the wrong direction or something(06+ has 4 wires for the airbag).

Thanks for any possible help guys

Well, figured it out. It was the brown wire coming off the cruise control harness. It's a female connector. Slid right onto the Sparco horn button.

Very easy task.

Hey fish, resistors are not directional unless they are the diode type - the general brown/tan/blue cylinders are not directional and can be installed any way.

I had to do a similar trick in my Accord with I did an aftermarket wheel and used a 2ohm 2% (if I recall) to bypass the SRS module. I also had to reset the SRS system after doing it. If you did the install with battery plugged up this could be the cause. Alternatively they may have sent you the incorrect ohm resistors which would cause the problem as well.

Yeah, the WB resistors do have diodes wired in.

An S2ki member will be sending me an OEM connector with resistors installed in it. I'm just gonna throw that in and call it a day(of course after resetting the SRS light).

I am having issues with the SPARCO horn button on my 06 ap2. Seems that when I hook up the brown wire and touch either the other connector or the v shaped bar to metal, the horn goes off.

Am I missing something here?

And for the works bell resistors, I inserted them into the smaller openings in the connector instead of the typical openings where the male prongs usually go. Works fine. No SRS light.

Also. These resistors work. 2.2 ohm 5% 2watts.
