"who makes who" remains a mistery....

So I guess there are two choices that some people a vouched for:

Megan Racing Spec : 12k front and 14k rear

BC coilovers : 10k front and 10k rear

correct?

I would be hesitant about putting stiffer springs in the back though...

What about upgrading to CR parts?
Correct me if I'm wrong but the only differences to the CR are stickier rubbers, bigger stabilizer bars, stiffer springs, and re-valved dampers? Finding those parts used is either going to be expensive or hard to do when compared to buying new aftermarket, or even used aftermarket to save a little bit of cash.

Like I said at the end of my post, there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I'd definitely look into a new wheel/tire combo, strut/spring combo and maybe some new stabilizer bars and weigh those against a full coil setup.

Not only will you be improving lateral g's with those, a new wheel/tire combo and a drop is an added visual benefit that you won't achieve with just a set of coils.

I have a nonstagered setup and having stiffer springs in the back will probably kill me.

Yeah but you will be getting actual factory-engineered performance parts instead of coil overs "with a sick drop."

I'm currently running Espilir ASD's with Koni Yellow Sports and I absolutely love the setup. I have done 2 autocross events and it handled like a champ. You can adjust the ride to soft - stiff for track/daily driving and it has another spring seat to lower the car another 1/2" All in all I payed about $600 for the springs/Koni's.

The majority of the coils on the market are track tested... whether it be by the company who designed them or by the people who buy them...

CR parts are going to be overpriced and under perform when compared to similarly priced components... The only CR parts I might buy would be the upgraded stab bars, even then, I'd still probably end up getting aftermarket units.
