Tamon Duckbill and J's GT wing --- Picture/Info Request
#11
The K1 Lab is bolt down and replaces the 3rd break light. But the TAMON (yes even the authentic one) uses 3M tape. 3M is suprisingly strong, so you dont have to worry about it flying off.

Oh yes! Sounds like music to my ears. What's the typical retail on the Tamon one? How light or heavy is it?
#13
Its pretty light (I think it's about 1-2 pounds), the Tamon range from $550 to $850 depending on the material. The Kevlar one is $850, carbon $750 and fiberglass is $550. You can check out my build thread. I got the Kevlar one. I just installed last night and I'll post some pics.

Found the Tamon duckbill spoiler on Evasive. https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/s...a-s2000-00-09/
I really like the look and fitment! Does anyone know what the weight difference is between the FRP, carbon and carbon Kevlar variants?

But think of it this way too, it will cost around 2-300 to paint it (good quality), so spend that extra few bucks and get a carbon or kevlar so you wont need to paint =) and it looks much better.

Glad you like it. Mine looks awesome. But yah the weight difference is really minimal. Usually if you want to paint it to match your car, you get the FRP.

If I get an OEM AP1 front spoiler, have that colour matched to GPW and run a carbon Tamon rear spoiler, would that 'make sense'? Or should both the front and rear spoilers match each other in terms of paint/carbon...

If the weight difference is minimal then that's good. I hear you on the cost of painting FRP and TBH I'd like to colour match it to my GPW but then again you make a very good point about getting the carbon one instead which won't require painting and would still look great. Thanks!

Its all personal preferences. Build the car for yourself and the way you like it =). As long as you look back every time you park the car, that is all it matters. Good luck with your build and do post pics when and if you decide on the Tamon, painted or carbon or any other duckbills you decide on.
