i have the older tanabe racing medallion hyper with a custom testpipe and ark header. Very F-1ish at WOT but for normal driving it doesn't drone at all. From what i heard all of Tanabe's exhaust sound amazing and have almost no drone at all.

Just re-installed my Medallion G,replaced my HFC with 60mm TP = no more drone

Have you noticed that the HFC reduced drone? I have the Tanabe Concept-G and it drones a bit around the 3500-4200 RPM range. Its not a terrible drone and definitely livable, however if a HFC can get rid of what drone there is i'd be happy.

Did not try with oem cat.
Did not like HFC with the G though,
too much drone for me, had it on for about 1000miles

I realized i misread your post. So you took away the oem cat and replaced with a test pipe and now you have no drone? Interesting, usually that creates more drone. Did it get much louder?

A little louder with TP but in a nice way,has less drone than HFC.
tried it with oem cat for MOT test<in UK>less noise and less drone than my HFC. <October>
Sounds different with humidity changes <summer heat or a colder climate >
