Those WEIRD Carbon Mirrors...
You know those APR carbon rectangular mirrors? The little ones? Why are those so popular? I know it saves like 2lbs and less drag, but is it noticeable enough to switch out the beautiful stock mirrors?
Can anyone shed any light on this? Many thanks!

They need constant adjustment because the slightest tap on them will move them. The generic base plate that mounts them almost doesn't cover the hole in the door for the OEM mirror. The gasket that comes with them is crap. They are so small that if they weren't convex, you wouldn't be able to see anything in them. I'm ready for it...... so here goes....... I have a set on my car because I love the way they look. I'm gonna color match the baseplates (if I ever get around to it). I still have my original ones and if I get tired of them, I can switch back. For now, I think they look awesome.

You'll have to drill through plastic and mount them to the metal in the door. The plastic isn't strong enough to hold the mirrors. If you take the door panel off it's pretty easy to see how to make it work.
