Thoughts on the "tiny mirrors"?
 

Hey guys I am curious what you guys think of those carbon tiny side mirrors on a street driven S2K? Do you like them or do you prefer stock? I am trying to decide if I should buy them. They have "carbon look" ones for around $70 and then "real carbon" ones for closer to $200 but truthfully they are so small I do not think them being real carbon or carbon look would really affect weight much. Just kinda seeking other S2K owners opinions.

They look neat and all, but I wouldn't get them. I'd imagine you can't see as much as the larger stock mirrors. The stock mirrors don't look bad and being able to see better through the mirror takes priority over asthetics to me.

I got a JDM "passenger" right hand mirror that works great in the USA driver position. It is convex and does not have writing on it (objects are closer.....)

I think Cosmomiller's mirror will look just like your stock one, just a different view perspective.

I have a set of APR mirrors and they are not as good as OEM for field of view but look great on the car, do like the blue glass though.

Here is the stock mirror with the packaging for the JDM mirror. The stock mirror had a white, sticky, putty that never hardens to help keep the mirror in place and stop vibrations. You can see some of it on the bottom edge.

Here is the comparison. The convex mirror captures about twice what the flat stock one does. The last pic shows how you can still see the car next to you, in this case the garage.

I might add, I purchased an off brand mirror and installed it. However, I was unhappy with the optical quality and I returned it. I went for the JDM one off eBay and it was clearly superior.

I wouldn't want to give up the electrical adjustment on any mirror for a daily driver, might be fine for track use. Also those kinds of mirrors can loosen up as they age depending on the quality. I would only like the rear carbon fiber ones in terms of aesthetics.

Wow, that mirror has to be angled extremely outward for a proper view. Nice view though.

I've always thought they looked cool and fit the tiny nature of the car well but someone made a comment saying it's like a T-Rex with little arms and now that's all I picture when I see them now.
