Default Toda Racing Oil Control Orifice

Toda Racing recently released a new part called the Oil Control Orifice, it limits oil flow to the head during VTEC to ensure the bottom end gets enough oil pressure in track conditions.

https://www.toda-racing.co.jp/en/pro...c-orifice.html

The F2XC has always seemed pretty stout on track but are there bottom end oiling issues? I've never had any issues on track and I don't know of anyone who have had issues.
The part is super cheap but I wouldn't want to mess with the oiling system unless there was good evidence it was beneficial.
Does anyone have any more information on it? Is this more for built engines with larger displacement?

Only info I've been able to find so far is people installing as a precaution, no data yet.

This guy lost an engine due to a bottom end issue and is installing it with his new 2.35 Arvou built Toda engine

This shop says they are installing at the request of their customer but haven't seen any oiling issues themselves

Been wondering about those too, I had a big order of parts from japan and I included this in my order since it was cheap.
I haven't yet installed it as I haven't found any reviews.. A friend has it in his toda 2.4 motor but the car its not yet running so no real world results.

My friend in Japan said that he will email Toda to try and get more info around it. I will post back here if he finds out anything

Subbed. Curious to know if it's actually solving any real 'problem's.

I only found this post on it:

Oil pressure is also a function of how well the bottem end bearings are sealing. Also less oil to the head is less cooling effect

This is likely some sort of solution to a specific race type build. It sounds like it goes hand in hand with some other modification(s).

The stock oiling system doesn't need any help. I wouldn't try to solve a problem that isn't there.

So i recently just installed mine in my car about a month ago. So far im still hitting vtec and having no problems. i got in contact with toda as well because i was worried over potential increased wear due to less oil as well as kore heat since less oil is cooling the head but if toda says its good im gonna trust them!
