Unequal Length Header? Discuss

Along with many others I'm sure I recently saw a few videos of a yellow S2000 with an unequal length exhaust manifold pop up. Mainly I'm just curious what everyone's opinions are on the idea. I know that the key points to be made is Equal>Unequal in terms of performance, but by how much and in what ways? Anyone else ever go as far as making their own or having one made that just didn't hit the internet as much as this one?

I was just looking at one made by 1320 for my integra. Personally I never liked the sound of the Subaru rumble. My initial thoughts are that it makes an efficient engine less efficient for sake of a different sound. Seems like a ricer fad that is taking over the import industry. Listening to Integras with the 1320 UEL just sounds bad to me.

Look at high end headers on the market,& applications from engineers for flow conditions + gains are tested.
Look at the similarities, digest =conclusion :dogrun:

Sounds like a tractor :barf: why would you want your s2000 to sound like a tractor?

It seems so many people buy this car and then decide they want it to sound like a totally different car. There is so many questions threads posts etc asking "how do I get a deeper sound" or some variant of that. Its a small high revving 4 cyl. It isn't going to sound like a big lazy V8 or a Subie or whatever. Exhaust parts can change the sound some but only so much. That video doesn't really sound all that much like a subie to me maybe at the very start but then it just sounds like a raspy honda after that.

There are three Subarus in my family -- one 6-cylinder and two 4-cylinder. I haven't noticed or have a clue how they "sound" and suspect they don't since they have OE exhaust systems. Sights, smells, and sounds are all part of our experiences. We're all aware of the synthetic performance sounds via the audio systems in some cars (Mustangs and BMWs) and I recently read that Mazda recorded and analyzed the sound of the old MGB gearbox with developing the Miata. (It was on the Internet so it must be true. :) )
