Ha it’s 2024 and I’VE finally going to install the CBB LB HID bulbs and the Profile LED HB.
Years ago when my bumper was and the housing was off, for the life of me I could not figure how to install the LED H1 bulbs. Profile didn’t have ANY instructions to remove that adapter ring. Years later Profile no longer sells a H1 bulbs and I’ve realized the wire adapter is a pigtail adapter. I might need to use some shrink wrap to cover up that connection or find another adapter. So annoying. |
The LED highbeams that came with my S2000 worked badly. I don't think LED bulbs work well in reflector housings.
For the low beams, the Nightbreaker are probably the brightest I've had. The CBB looks pretty rad though, so I'll probably get those to replace my ancient low beams (original bulbs on my MY00) |

I just replaced my AP1 headlights with new units (yes, you can still get OEM NOS AP1 headlights). As part of the "refresh", I purchased 2 Morimoto D2S bulbs in 5000K (from theretrofitsource.com) and the Sylvania blue tipped H1 high beam bulbs (from AutoZone). (A quick note about the high beams: Make sure you do not throw away the plastic piece that holds the bulb tangs. I had to order new ones to replace the one I threw away!) The amount of light my car is putting out is very impressive!
