Default voodoo shift knob

Is there any feel ifference between the Titanium and Aluminum knob? I don't really have $140 for the titanium one but i can defently afford a aluminum one.

titanium should be lighter. Same size and sit the same height I believe.
Titanium is super expensive and really pointless to have for a shift knob.
IMO the heavier the knob the better the shifting feel.

I think its the opposite. The titanium knob is double the weight of the aluminum, giving you a more smoother shift. They both pretty much sit at the same height but from what I read everyone prefers spending a little more money for the titanium.

IMO I would say just wait and save up some more money. some people outside the S2K world will say its crazy to spend $160 on a knob but if you combine the Titanium Knob with the new Axial Flow Short Shifter there really isnt a better combination for the S2K.

Edit:
I looked into it some more, and the titanium is not double the weight but its close.

Titanium weight: 284 grams
Aluminum weight : 175 grams

this info is straight from www.Ricks2k.com

its really hard to say. cause there are people out there that prefer that aluminum than the titanium. still there is a greater demand for the titanium - and I would say the weight being a good reason why its so popular.

It's was pretty heavy when I had it. You can heat treat the Ti knob and you'll end up with a colorful shift knob. =)

Ti is heavier(solid vs solid), i have the aluminium version, it's too light for my taste with the added mechanical feel(notchy)

racing team use ti because they can make a hollow shell knob which is lighter than aluminium with the structural strength.

it's pretty extreme, probably not worth it for the street(esp now with the sharp increase of the Ti price.)

A lot of guys do titanium just for bragging rights. I have a shitload of knobs from a feather light Delrin dildo up to the M1 Abrams at 460 grams (and all kind of shapes and weights in between).

I still come back to the aluminum Voodoo. It's pure performance and value. No engraving either, if you don't know the pattern, you ain't driving my car.
