Default What Dampening Level do you run on your Coilovers?

i know every coilover will be different, but im curious to know what settings everyone is running on their coilovers, i'd like to see if people generally go stiff in rear than front or vice versa and by how much. These settings im talking about for DD street use not track. and please if you can also mention what coilover setup you are running.

thanks!

at first i was at 8 which is rite in the middle, now im at the stiffest. I like that it responds quicker and feels like its on rails.

i have the Top Secret Super Dampers and am currently running the rears stiffer than the fronts by 3 clicks to dial out the stupid understeer that was designed into the AP2's from the factory. Stiffer rear gives more oversteer. A stiffer front shock setup gives more understeer. Understeer is good for auto-x and it is "safer" for the street. I find understeer annoying and boring... With any setup this basic set of rules will apply... it all depends on how your car is handling now and how you want it to handle. also, I put the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar set on and put the rear on the stiffest setting for more oversteer too... There are so many variables and it will require tweaking... if you have an AP1 (which I once had) the stock suspension setup is near perfect (to me that is ). Just don't buy some cheap coilovers and be surprised that the car handles worse than stock. I love the setup I have now and the car sticks like crazy. Did you have a certain set of coilovers in mind???

When I need that little bit extra, I turn it up to "11".

As said above, try the rear 2-3 clicks softer then you run your fronts as this will help keep your ass end from sliding out as much. More so on ap1's though as to a ap2.

but if you want your ass end out, then do it the other way around.

drive safe!
