I have just installed Skunk2 Stage 2 Turbo cams and just started the car on the old setup tune and have noticed immediately the afr was at 10:1 and vacuum very low around -8 to -10. Anyone have any idea why this could be? I'm aware I am in need of tune but wanted to run car to get fluids moving through it before I hit the dyno. Thanks!

Current setup

JDM F20C 11.7:1
Fully built Ferrea valve train
skunk2 stage 2 Turbo Cams
Precision 5858 CEA
Turbosmart gate & BOV
What are the specs of the turbo cams?

I thought Skunk 2 only made one set for the s2000

Soo.... Just clarified with the part # 305-05-0305 I purchased. I was told they were Turbo cams but appear to be the Tuner Series cams as that is what skunk2 has to offer.

Specs per info sheet included with cams:
Intake: 272/0.535" lift @ 0.000" lash
Exhaust: 276/0.496" lift @ 0.000" lash
Lobe Centerline: IN 99 Degree ATDC
EX 110 Degree BTDC
Tappet Clearance: (Must be measured at the valve tip)
Intake: 0.008" (cold)
Exhaust: 0.010" (cold)

For the specs per Skunk2 website:
Required: Alpha Series Valve Springs, Titanium Retainers, Engine Management.
Intake Duration / Lift: 272° / 13.6mm
Exhaust Duration / Lift: 276° / 12.6mm
Intake Centerline: 105°
Exhaust Centerline: 102°
Valve Clearance (Intake / Exhaust): .008” / .010”
RPM Range: 1,500 - 9,100 rpm

A reputable company like BC would not take the chance of calling something a "Drop-In" if it was not. Stage II BC`s are fine on the stock valvetrain as they advise. Stage III you need springs/retainers.

Also there are a lot of other NA cam options out there people just don't want to pay for.

Jake gavio`s 400+ WHP 2.7 F Series runs a custom Skunk2 BMF Cam for the F. (1 of 1 but im sure they would make more)

Inline Pro makes the best billet core cam out there IMO for the F Sereis but they are $1700. But with that being said I guarantee they will make power

Web makes S2000 Cams in 3 lobe and VTEC killer

4Piston makes a 3 lobe and VTEC Killer Billet cam also for the F Series.

All the cams I just listed are custom and built to order, just call up any of the manufacturers and they will taylor it to your setup. Issue is a lot of S2000 guys don't build motors how the cams need them to be. For instance if someone were to do a 90mm Sleeved Bore, 99mm K24 Crank (Or larger stroker crank) and make a 2.40-2.70 liter F Series with not this BS 12.0:1 compression and get some 14-16.0:1 pistons in there with a good 370-390 CFM head there would be huge benefits of running these .600" lift cams. But mild/timid stock blocks will never see great gains above the 5-10whp range.

Couple bits that would be nice to add to the initial post:
Brian Crower Stage 2 vs Stage 3 Cams
Stock AP2 vs Brian Crower Stage 2 vs Skunk Stage 2

In addition to TODA Cam Gears, we also have Skunk 2 Pro Series Cam Gears.

Locking the rocker assembly to degree the cam fixed on the vtec lobe-

I don't have compressed air to pressurise the system so was looking at the method of reversing the pins in the rockers. Any one care to elaborate for me on how to do this correctly ??
