The stock 4.1 fd is too docile. The car can be so much more enjoyable with at a minimum 4.4 from Honda. Not exactly sure why they went with the fd they did. It is definitley one thing I really do miss about my 5R Integra, the 4.78 fd just made it zip through the revrange, never had any lull moments like the S does at low rpms. Eventually when wallet allows will be going with a new fd, something along the lines of 4.5 or maybe go nuts and look for a 5.1 (something I wanted to do with my Teggy, just never got around to doing so). I don't really care about top-end speed, but prefer the quick bursts that a new fd will provide. The car is fun to drive, but can be SOOOOO much better.

I would also like some sites to check out the costs for new gearing. How much did you guys end up spending roughly on new gears?

why is it that shorter gears are good for a supercharger setup (if you decide to boost later down the road), but if you decide to go turbo the stock gearing is better?

I'm no expert, but when you go turbo, depending on the size of the turbo (larger turbos spool up slower), you need time for it to spool up and extract all the power out of your set-up before you reach your shift point. The shorter the gears, the quicker you run through your gears.

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong

makes sense, but then why do supercharged guys go with like 4.56 gears and what-not?

I have a 2002 S with a 2005 AP2 transmission and run the 4.3 gear ratio in a Stage 2 PM built differential. I have had about 22 different rears in the car with most every popular gearing for our car I like the 4.3 best for me, I find that speed shifting the car is effortless for me with this ratio. My timing seems to be natural and smooth with the 4.3 I am not bad with the 4.44 or 4.56/57 but, the 4.77 I cant shift the car to save my but. The gear comes so fast I just can
