you're allowed to do a basic look over of it...with a rod through the starter...it just clicked (and the motor turned over 360 degree's by hand) so it sounded like a bad starter.
i paid quite a bit for it. the head, timing chain cover, timing chain, oil cooler, and a few misc. other little things are salvageable, it'll be nice to have them to recover Some of the cost's incurred.
install is 98% done now...just waiting for the starter to come in, then i can finish it up.

spent last night finishing up all the little bs, everything underneath is done, and everything under the hood is done except air box, starter, and alternator (and a few hoses aren't hooked up...because they're in the way of the starter install, and of course i need to do an oil change and refill the coolant system... and considering draining the fuel, not sure of it's age)

it's got classic chevy on one side and classic ford on the other...it's probably feeling out of place. then again i keep telling it to get out of my garage... i'll probably end up just selling it. that wasn't the intention when it was purchased however...i didn't intend on doing a motor swap either

got the starter yesterday evening.... got it fired up for the first time (only ran it for about 15 seconds) still need to top it off with coolant/bleed the system.
how picky are these cars on oil? cap says 10w-30 but i had some synthetic 5w-20 i tossed in it (because it's what i had on hand...and i was quite anxious to see it run!)

Do we get $5 PayPal if we can guess what that Chevy muscle car is?
Since I cant see the headlights it could be 3 possible years, I'm just going to have to go with a 70-72 Chevelle.
I'm not as hip on the Fords, but from what I can see its definitely a Mustang. Going with a 69-70 Mach 1?
