i have a couple mods done to the car (just basic bolt ons i/h/e) and wanted to tune the car.. what are you guys using ? vafc II ? aem ? or kpro ? i know for kpro we would have to change out a lot of stuff to make it work from the 06 and up models ?? might get bigger injectors or itb's in the future.. but what do you guys think ? i tried to do some research but didnt go so well.. thanks in advance.. i have a 05 ap2 if that matters..

AP2 2005
using aem EMS
California, when the time comes, ill just put the stock ecu back in (takes 5 minutes and no tools)

i wonder if it could pass the sniffer with the EMS though. i have the wideband setup and it behaves very well for daily driving.

VAFCII tuned as my NA management,check my sig thread for gains, later plan is boost managed on k-pro...
Me personally, it comes down to where you live, what your tuner feels comfortable tuning with, and how much money you want to use, good luck Justin

I said get k-pro(or anyother EMS) because you stated you may go with an ITB kit later(a standalone EMS WILL be needed to tune), to be honest you shouldnt be worried about mods right now, learn your car more and do more research, figure out what it is you want, look up all you can on it, attempt to understand it and then try to make a decision, good luck-Justin

I have a MY04 with KPRO. It has a built in feature for passing emissions (what the scanner looks for when they plug it up). If that is all they do in your state/city you'll be fine with KPRO. But if they require the sniffer too, you'll need to have the hardware (catalyctic converter) to pass. I live in a no emission/no inspection state, so I run a test pipe.
