06+ DBW cruise control removal?
i've done some searching and can only find ap1 posts. i was wondering if anyone has done this before? same process as ap1 since it appears the DBW cruise control box has a cable as well? any input or shared knowledge would be greatly appreciated! thanks

There isn't any hardware related to cruise control on DBW cars, since cruise control is a simple software function of the ECU. The cable that goes to the black box in your engine bay is just the connection between the gas pedal, and the TPS.

ahhhh i see now. pedal cable goes to TPS in CC which controls the DBW throttle body. unplugging the CC tells you alot lol. so it looks like theres no deleting the CC box? time to think of something crafty to help clean up the engine bay.
maybe relocating the CC box under the dash somewhere?

The tps is built into the dbw throttle body dude.
You're not getting it. Cruise control on dbw is as simple as the ecu controlling the motor in the throttlebody to cruise at the speed you set it at.

There is no CC box. The thing that you are calling a CC box is really just a TPS for the pedal. There is also a TPS on the DBW throttle body. Actually, each of the TPS sensors are redundant, so there's techncally 4 TPS sensors in the '06+ AP2's.
