Default 1/4 track time

Hey guys today was my first time running on the 1/4 mile. I ran a 15.1 with jus an exhaust. Is that normal for an ap1? I was launching the car at 5k rpm

thats a little slower than usual. Stock s2k's with a proper launch can clock low 14's. What was your 60ft?

A good launch for ap1's is 7000-7500 rpm. With just 5000 and if there is good traction you can't run good 1/4 miles(with good tires of course).Stock ap1's can do 14.0-14.3.Nevermind,next time you will be faster .

No.With good tires and good traction it's important to launch that high.

I'd be careful launching an AP1. Good way to blow a diff.

Agreed. I was reading to get the best numbers your going to have to almost launch near redline, which I am not willing to do with my baby.

I didn't buy a drag car.

Heck no, anybody who honestly drags a stock S will tell you launch spots depend on several variables, the track surface, your tires, pressure in those tires, traction etc just to tip the iceberg. I've had nights when 5.5k launches got me faster times than 6.5-7k launches, also I've had the reverse order. A consisent 60ft, knowing how/when to drag out or fully engage the clutch and NOT dump it, plays a big role for these cars STOCK
