Default 2k2s2k2 build in progress

Hello everyone. Well today I started my build. I am planning to do a shaved bay with wire tuck and eliminating the power steering, ac, and secondary air. I want to relocate the battery and the fuse box behind the passenger seat or in the trunk well not sure which...opinions are welcome. I plan on switching to ITBs (I want to see if I can connect to the hood somehow). Doing a Js racing body kit. Spoon calipers. Some sort of coil overs (not sure of brand yet). All this in a Gloss black, Matte black paint job with hints of spoon blue. I figure this may take a couple of years but we will see. I want it to be nice enough for shows, mainly but versatile enough to still autoX. I think this will make a nice looking fun car.

So Day 1...took some pictures to introduce you

Bumper off...

Fenders and hood off...

Headlights off...

Hardtop off...

Trunk stripped...

Back trim out...

Battery in trunk...

Battery behind passengers seat. The way I am leaning...

No matter what you do you will never be done lol. Good luck with the build and just make sure you build it the way you like it.

Also I found out today that my power steering is electric so I get to keep that it looks like. Never really paid much attention I guess.

I was thinking, why u want to pull the steering lol. Good choice. The eps gods would have never left u alone with dash lights and cels forever.

Well I took out the A/c system, radiator, battery, fuse box, windshield washer reservoir, heat shield, and dampener today. Gonna start figuring out where to wire everything now.

Got the dash all ready to take out...now just to remove the heater box.

Passenger side is moving along...

Still got a lot to do on the drivers side...

Causing a mess of the garage and house though, lol...

So a little update. Got the welder now for the shaved bay, getting ready to get gas for it. So I am getting ready to pull the engine an transmission. In the mean time I started painting some stuff on the driver side front. So far I have done the caliper and the upper control arm. Eventually I want to do spoon calipers so I am hoping the color is close. So far though I think it looks pretty good.
