4Pistons 2.5L Road race engine
Hi, hopefully the forum will let me make this post as it's my first one. But I'm looking for anyone who has had 4pistons racing build them their 2.5l Road race endurance engine.
I shipped them my engine in May of 2021, they told me 16 weeks. It has now been like 44 weeks, and the last update I got was they were waiting for cams. They wont answer emails or calls. They have $13,000 of my money, and I'm at the end of my patience.
Basically, I'm wondering if this is just how they do business, but their engines are somehow worth the hassle and wait?
If ANYONE is running one of these engines on a track S2000, please let me know.
If I do ever get my engine, I'd like to know what spark plugs people are running, which oil seems to be the best for this type of engine. Basically any advice moving forward, as 4Pistons is very vague the 4 times I've been able to talk to them.
If this is in the wrong forum, I'm sorry and I'll move it to the appropriate one, I just figured this is the best bet to catch someone who runs this engine. Thanks!

Similar experience. Sent them my block in Dec 2020 and received it about a year later.
I ran the setup for 3 track days before we pulled it out. Currently trying to identify an oil leak, and also burning a lot of oil (1 qt/200 miles) with motul 15w50.

Interesting, I paid for a TSX head and RR3 cams back in October 2021. I was told 6-10 weeks, 5 months later I still do not have the head and I feel like they are avoiding my emails and phone calls. I have sent emails to them to update my address as I have now moved across the US and I have yet to hear anything back. They also told me 5 months to do an engine build as I was looking at maybe doing a k340 build. One weird thing I noted from when I paid for my head is they said they needed to machine it, 2 hours later on Instagram they posted a picture of heads on a cart saying they had the TSX heads in stock ready to ship. I went with them as I thought they were a solid company. I'm sure the head and cams will make power, but the customer service is lacking. I think a project manager/secretary would do wonders for them. I waited 5 years to pull the trigger on a ported head, and this experience is meh. On our phone conversations, they said the most reliable engine is going to be an OEM stock build bottom end from their experience.
Are you on the stock fuel system? Which plugs are you using? Crazy it's burning that much oil, that sucks.

Ended up getting my engine in July of this year. So well over a year. They sent me the wrong valve cover and said they would correct it but never did. Got it tuned on E30 and it makes 275whp.
Took it out for a test and tune and everything is great and I shaved 3 seconds off my best time at the local track.
Having said that, if I could go back, I'd buy a used stock engine and get out on track. The added power is great, but I severely question it's reliability compared to stock.

Do you have an intake and exhaust to support the engine?
I've built a high comp F24 using a STOCK port head and made 284hp...Cost me maybe $4k in parts?
I bought a full 2.5L long block and had a similar experience. It took over a year when they told me 3 months, and it was impossible to get into contact with them to understand what the issue/updated ETA was. If they told me 13months ETA off the bat I would have been fine with it and still waited but the lack of updates (I wanted like 1 update every 2-3months) given the money I spent really turned me off. The engine arrived in a crate but poorly packed and strapped. I sold the engine before installing it. I trusted that the engine would run well but the ordering experience contributed to me selling it. I can't imagine what customer service would be like if I had issues during ownership.
