Default aem ems OR Neo

Hey guys I have a question. With my current setup ( listed in my sig ) I got 222 whp. I was wondering if I switched my Apexi Neo for a aem ems stand alone and retuned it. Would I make much more power? Is this worth doing? Im looking for mid 230's whp.

I used search with not much luck.
Thanks!

Mid 230's is a reach with just bolt-ons. EMS will probably get you 5-7whp more.

i pretty sure i dynoed around 212 with just bolt ons but every dyno is differnt. i thought the aem would add 10 more if replaced the neo.

You dyno'ed on a dynapak so those numbers are at the hub, not the wheel.

don't start with the dyno vs dyno crap...dynoing on the hub eliminates wheel spin, danger ( aka the car is stationary ), and I believe it to be more accurate and safer ...

( info straight from my tuner ) The day before my dyno they had a healthy 06 AP2 on the dyno with an HKS catback, carbon intake/snorkel and it made around 230-235. On average a stock AP2 will make in the mid 220s on that dyno with just IHE.
I'm not saying that isn't a high all motor number it was my best all motor run most of them were 235ish just so you know

i think the reason he brought up your dynapack is that you cant tell someone i made 240 when he made 222 and expect his result to equal yours in number. what if his 222 is dyno dynamics, dynojet, or mustang? or land and sea or dynocom?

bottom line, switching from neo to aem ems on a bolt on car is not really cost effective. is it superior product? YES. hell yeah, **** yes. is it needed? no. will you gain power, prolly not too much if any. yeah you could dick with timing, but your not gona run much more then stock, and most of teh power is made from fuel tuning, which you can already do.

if your gonna go aem ems, do it becuase your gonna add itbs, or FI down the road. then its a really good addition to your setup.

camuman, that's exactly why I brought it up. I actually am very fond of the dynapak and the tuner I go to uses it. But you can't compare hub hp to wheel hp.

camuman hits all the points.

...I never said he would get 240whp like I did I just meant what I said if hes going to do further modding down the road then it is cost effective to buy the aem ems now
