Anyone running Ballade sports throttle body?
What's up all, I was looking into larger throttle bodies for my car and had originally wanted to get the Science of Speed unit until I found out that it's a 2-3 week wait and they no longer carry finished units on hand. Since my car is my daily, I need a throttle body on it and cannot wait that long.
While browsing, I came across Ballade sports 70mm throttle body for $99. That seems ridiculously cheap so I figured I'd ask around if anyone had some experience.
I already have a few of Ballade's parts and although I am not thrilled with some of the engineering behind them, the manufacturing quality has been quite good.
So, so does anyone have any experience or know anyone with one?

I have the combo as well. I plan to install it in spring along with a 3.5" custom intake (already have 70mm TP and single exhaust) and then get it tuned and dynoed. I won't be able to do a direct dyno comparison tho

Could you give me any impressions from just looking at the throttle body? Does it look like a quality unit? Does it rotate freely without any sticking issues? I'm more than likely going to be purchasing it.

Saw the unit in person on the display. Looks like quality parts to me. Although to feel benefits you would probably need the matched ported intake manifold.
s2k-jn, are you getting a tune? I was told this can be run on the stock ECU no problem but I'm worried about going too lean.

I've been running Ballade Sports throttle body and matched intake manifold for over a year now. No sticking or any issue at all. The product is good quality and very affordable.

Just to update, I ordered it and received it in 2 days. Quality looks surprisingly good for $125 shipped. It does stick a little bit if you let it snap shut but that's really not a big deal.
I am going to port match the intake myself as it is a modified manifold, otherwise I would have purchased their bored manifold. This is an S2K manifold adapted to the K24 engine so I cut off the ports on the side since they were unneeded and machined an adapter plate to the K head.

Are you running a stock ECU or do you have tunable EMS?

As an aside, I hear he may have a TB for the DBW cars soon!
