Which is proven more power aluminum like most or steal (Exhaust material) piping for a CUSTOM intake. An 2.5inch or 3 inch.My uncle owns a muffler shop an has brand new pipes I can bend them to make a custom intake an get it powder coated Black. So it looks clean.

yeah I stayed away from AEM cold airs because I did not want to cut up my engine bay. But Ive always ran AEM on all my older cars, I would have if it werent for that. But I love my PRM, no regrets and like he said super easy installation and really cleans up the engine bay.

AP1 FTW!!!

I have a PWJDM snorkel and OEM air box mod and ive yet to loose to any bolt on s2k with stock J's racing any tubular intake except S~factors i think his is the best by far but anyways lool i back PWJDM intakes 1,000% they honestly dont show real gains on the dyno but looking at my data logs from taking it off and having it on im most definitely making power i saw in 5th at 124mph i made 19 more hp over no snorkel i have to go back 2 months and find that log and ill take photos on where it improved power on the street and when the car is actually moving but. im selling my intake and exhaust setup for cheap if anyone is interested lool

When talking such little power gain, generally what 'feels' faster, is probably actually slower or peaky.
Butt dyno's are liars, unless you're adding significant power.

I'm running a J's Racing snorkel on the oem air box, oem filter. I'm not going to say it flows the most air or makes the most power, but my car has never run more consistently since I added the snorkel. I can drive all day long in hot temps and the car runs consistently throughout the day. Before I did the mod the car would usually land on it's face in the afternoon hours and bog down big time with heat soak conditions. I don't know if it is restrictive or if it flows great, but I do know that the car runs better and I'm really happy with it. I'm not pushing the J's Racing snorkel, there are others out there with similar designs at different price levels.
You don't need to spend money adding a velocity stack on this system as the oem air filter has a velocity stack built into the base of the filter already.
One other nice feature is that I drove my car through torrential downpours at highway speeds for 3 hours and when I got home I popped the air box lid and there wasn't a drop of water in the box or on the filter. If you ever encounter deep water, just pop the lid off the box and your are protected.

Regarding power, in my own testing using a software dyno and consistent conditions (same road, same direction, same time of day, same amount of gas, AC off, etc. etc.) I found that my AEM v2 intake made a lot more low end torque and continued to make a bit more power throughout the rev range compared to my old K&N FIPK. The AEM had one of those "Spectrum" ebay dry filters as well, while the K&N had a freshly cleaned and oiled K&N filter.
A lot of the big name tuners that have their own s2ks are gonna tell you to custom make your own 3" long tube cold air intake, make the tube as long as possible for the biggest gains. They typically back up their claims with impressive dynos as well.
However if you want a bump in midrange, the PWJDM creates great resonance peaks in those rpm ranges which would be great for daily driving.
Regardless, if you want to maximize these gains, make sure you get it tuned. A tuned K&N FIPK will make more power than just a slapped on PWJDM intake imo.
