Built Motors and Whp?
 
so what kind of whp results are people getting from built motors, hi comp, big cams, stock port head, aftermarket intake mani etc etc etc


300 to 320 whp do able ?



will of course have other mods, gearing upgrades, clutch flywheel, lsd, drive shaft, axles, suspension, brakes etc etc

300 is probably do-able with enough $$ but since your asking you probably wont get 300 N/A...

whats the deal with s2k motors, you guys and others always go on an on about how great they are

but then you say 300 na whp is so hard and no one knows how to do it

i can build a 300whp k24 without blinking an eye with a few off the shelf parts and 93 pump gas


i know how to build a motor, im just not familiar with s2k's and what brands have parts available, so far iv seen like 3 sets of cams and none make any real power


im not asking what do i do to build the motor, im askin which cams, intake mani, im lookin for brands, not a list of what to do

it IS a great engine, has won several awards several different occasions. there is a reason why most people ditch the NA route and go boost.

we're not doubting you and your abilities dude...we're just letting you know...you have to blink to get a F20/F22 to 300hp, and im not too sure you can obtain it with off the shelf parts....you say you've seen 3 sets of cams and none make power...that should let you know its no easy task...

best thing to do, is search the NA section, and search the site as a whole...to start off i'm almost sure you will need to up the displacement just like rob.ok said....

Inline Pro Stroker, Full Hytech Package with the ITB's, Standalone... And then go to Church's Dyno and pray. :D

i dunno, i dont think the hytech package is all that great...mainly because of their exhaust, i would MUCH rather have a single then the dual. not too mention their aem price is like 600 bucks more then the going rate. in all honesty, the ONLY piece they make that i'm after is their race header.
my setup in the works for hpde/time trial is:
-ap2 s2k
-password jdm intake system
-j's 66mm port matched throttle body
-hytech race headers
-j's racing 70rr exhaust
-aem ems
-4.44 final gear
based on similiar setups and the fact my tuner is an n/a master lol, i should be at 235-245whp. BUT iirc the inline pro stroker kit made 268whp but thats with STOCK HEADERS/EXHAUST...so with all that restriction you should easily be able to hit 300 or damn near close.

You dont have to purchase there exhaust FYI. All of the components can be bought seperate even. We carry them all. :thumbup:

I'll be using a single exit 3 in our car with they hytech parts. We wanted a lower weight single exit for racing purposes. Hytech will make a single exit too upon request too.
