Calling all Tanabe SMH or MT owners
Not finding much info on these setups. Both look to be focused on keeping noise down. 60mm to 50mm at the split. 100m tips. Big mufflers and a big resonator. Full 304 stainless.
Medallion Touring, claimed 93dB:
Super Medallion Hyper, claimed 95dB:
Anyone using either of these systems? Not interested in extracting any more power, just want to get a slightly more aggressive exhaust note without making myself deaf and poor in the process. The big mufflers and big resonators lead me to believe their noise claims.
The SMH goes for around $650, and the MT goes for around $750.
If money were no object, I'd pick up one of those T1R 70mm systems and call it a day, but money doesn't grow on trees.

Flyby. My Nephew was recording so I don't have a clue what he was doing with the camera.

Overall I love the exhaust. IMO this is the way it should have sounded from the factory

I'm worried about how it drones on the highway and around town. 6th gear sucks, and on the freeway you're at around 3500-4000rpm. A rumbling exhaust sucks...my old Integra had a low-restriction T1R and it was annoying after 20 minutes.
Does your car have any other mods?
BTW your links don't work.

It drones a little more than stock. it isn't bad at all. I also have a megan header and aem v2 intake.
Sorry about the links. Go to streetfire.net and search Tanabe s2000. and you will find the different variations that I tested. One is stock, one is with test pipe and one is with custom b pipe/midpipe. My username is the same on there also so you can just click on my name and look at all my vids.

The one that is stock isn't raspy sounding. In the title it should just say Tanabe Medalion Touring or something like that. It won't say test pipe or midpipe.
