Default CNCSpeedshop F24 build thread

Here's my old build.. high compression 2.2 liter.. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/800...ge__hl__wadzii

after the last motor and after building a couple of 300hp NA K24's I decided a 2.2 liter just wasnt going to cut it anymore.

I finally got my shop up and running, dyno installed, etc, so now I can get back to work on the S.

The new setup will be as follows.

RLZ CNC ported head
Supertech Beehive spring set
BC3 cams
New OEM k24 crank prepared inhouse
Mahle 87.5mm +6cc pistons
Inline Pro F24 rods with CA+625 bolts
ACL Bearings
Custom intake manifold

The only reason I'm using the mahle pistons this time around is because I had a customer that wanted a set at 87.5mm, and in order to get those made I had to buy 2 sets. They are so expensive now that its pretty much the same price to do a dry sleeve and use wiseco pistons. I do have another block being dry sleeved for some 89mm wisecos.. figure we'll see what we can do on a small bore motor first.

First step is to prepare the crank, to make a k24 crank work you have to do 2 things, you have to remove the flywheel boss and make the keyway slot a little longer

Crank in the lathe, turning down the flywheel end.

Crank is set in the mill to make the keyway longer

Inline pro rods with upgraded bolts.. gota have good bolts to sling a 99mm crank 10000 rpms!

Custom intake manifold. We made the plenum bigger and put a 90mm Q45 throttle body on it

This is a pic of ferrea beehive springs/retainers.. the supertech stuff I'm using has a much lower seat pressure but looks pretty much the same. The ferrea stuff is 100-110lb on the seat, the supertech stuff is 75lb on the seat. No need for 100lb springs on an NA car.

Stock retainer is on the left

I had the springs backwards, the short spring is the ferrea spring, the tall one is stock

Right now we are waiting on the head and block to come back from machining. The goal of this is to be faster than our other shop car

This is on pump gas through a 3 inch exhaust

Very curious to see your results with the BC3 cams. I'm running BC2's right now, but I don't think they are aggressive enough for my setup.
