DBW ITBs

So I have a stupid question.. If honda can make a throttle body to electronically controlled to open and close for DBW why can't you mod the same technique from this single throttle body and attach "that design" to an ITB system and have it electronically open and close by DBW and like a flashpro unit instead of having to get a standalone and installing a throttle linkage hook up.
Try not to be to harsh just trying to justify doing a stand alone and going back to a throttle linkage system

I am a total newb when it comes to ITBs but I've always thought it would be easier to implement DBW ITBs since you do not have to worry about linkages. Not sure though, since I've never seen it..

I am pretty sure they have a system for DBW nsx's from what I read on here... but yea you would think someone would have came up with a design or an add to make it more compatible

bump for more info

naw, the latter year DBW NSX's need a cable conversion for the ITB route

well how can we my06 and up keep dbw and vsa and do itbs

Still you would think if they were able to creat a throttle body acuator that opened and closed by electronic signal someone would convert that same mechanism for the ITBS, after all it just on pull opening and lcosing all throttle bodies

Somone needs to disassemble the DBW actuator and see if it can be fitted to the end of a ITB package. Ideally, an ITM setup with horizontal spindles would facilitate this.

The main challenge will be the return springs on the ITB setup, you may have to remove these or reduce their rates as there will be a limit to the DBW actuators strength.

Unless an OEM Honda DBW mechanism just so happened to be a simple retrofit onto an ITB assembly, I don't see this being a likely application.

I also think the market for a DBW ITB would be VERY small, since DBW typically comes with performance tradeoffs that racers don't want to make. Honda's DBW implimentation on the S2000 seems to be very good, but I doubt it would be as good for ITB's as a cable setup.
