F22C with AP1 ECU dyno

Thought you guys might like to see/know this. When I swapped the F22 in my 01 I did some research and found that some people had been successfully using an AP1 ecu on a F22 as well as revving it to 9k. Ive put about 40k miles on this setup so far without issue. The AFRs were safe but alot can be had with a tune. Very impressed with the number.

05 F22c ~70k miles
01 ECU
CT-E intake with a 2yr old filter
Invidia 70mm testpipe
Greddy Ti-C single 70mm

I am told the dyno reads 15% low.

Right. At the time i swapped There was some doubt about the f20 tune being used on f22. I guess I missed that thread :) I wanted and did use the ap1 ecu simply to save me from getting the new ecu matched with my key. Thanks for posting that!

I freaken love this set-up, more power at the next shift ftw!!! Great job!

so you are revving it to 9k?

You think you can send a sample of your motor oil to Blackstone labs?

I have been revving mine to 9k for nearly 40k miles now.. During that time it has been auto-x'd and drifted. Whats your interest in the results of an oil sample?

I think you were the person I saw running this originally. Thanks for being the guinea pig lol

Well the piston speed for f22c at 8500 rpms is the same as f20c a 9k rpms. So when you rev the f22c anything above 8500, there might be increased wear and tear. I was just curious to see the wear numbers, if any, compared to a regular f22c that doesn't rev to 8500+ rpms. Thanks

Been running this combo with Emanage NA and SC for years now. I do enjoy the extra rpm headroom, especially comes in handy on the road course.

search for the posts from "psychoazn" he heavily documented severe wear with anything in excess of 8500 rpms (plus or minus) on the F22, hes sent numerous oil samples to prove this.
