F24+Ivtec+AFI IM?
More inquiries...
I have a couple ideas for goin the forced induction route but theres still a possibility of staying NA. The thing is I would like to squeeze out K-series #'s if i remain NA. So ive done a bit of reading and found a couple options that would help the F2xC motor in its weak spots. IVTEC was one that I read up on and I was sooo amazed at the power band i've seen on both NA and forced induction dyno sheets. So to add that to a F24 stroker motor would be pretty solid. Now of course, everyone knows the stock intake sucks balls cause of its small plenum, so why not replace the stock unit with an AFI manifold. And there you have it..a torquey 8500rpm monster motor!
Most would say "Just go with a K...", but I think giving this a try would be really fun. Now I dont fully understand how the Sideways offset woodruff keys work(dont get the concept), but can that be used with the iVTEC setup?
Note: Please understand I am brand new to anything engine related and still have alot to learn.
*flame suit is on anyways*

I don't think you would want to use Sideways keys with IVTEC. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it would cause way more problems since the IVTEC will be adjusting on the fly.
Stroker is a good place to start. Remember to get big power NA you have to spend big $$$.

Yeah I figured it was one or the other..I figured if I start with the stroker and iVTEC vs stock f20/22 motor, it would be easier to make 300+whp with the right parts. Also the powerband would also be pretty solid.
Just a thought though..I guess its basically a high revving k24 in the end
