Default Fake Invidia exhaust?

I just picked up an invidia n1 dual exhaust for my 01 for $120 .....off of Craigslist . After getting it home Im a little skeptical of if its legit or not.

1. There isn't the word "Invidia" etched into the side of the ehaust tips. Anyone know from first hand experience if the older versions didnt have it?

2. My invidia bracket that's welded in between where the two pipes meet seems to be way crooked and has TERRIBLE welds.

3. The previous owner said that the guy he got it from had welded the exhaust together? After some research I've noticed it's a lot different than other Invidia exhaust.

4. There's a pretty big dent (as seen in pics). Any idea if this will reduce the air flow/effect sound or performance? Should I just replace it that piece?

Any advice/input would be appreciated.

At least it was only $120 loss if it's a fake. It's super dirty in the pics but I think I should be able to get it looking super clean tomorrow if it's real.

the bracket definitely seems like it's been welded on by someone 2nd hand. the system might have been an ebay exhaust and someone just welded on the bracket.

real invidia quick google search

Here is one more of the bracket. Anyone else with invidia have theirs cut like this? It's hard to tell from most pics on google, but I think it looks like other invidia brackets are cut letter by letter, and not as one big design (I could easily be wrong).

Because they look and sound like an ebay exhaust to begin with- less effort is required.
Sorry to hear you got swindled. How did he dent the top of the exhaust?

No clue how the dent got there. He said the previous owner did it. I'm going to hope the kid is a decent person and refunds me today. It's one thing if he didn't know it was fake and returns the money, but it's another thing if he sold it knowing it was a fake and just ignores me. So far today, he hasn't returned a call or text. Some people amuse me though..... I met you at your house to pick it up.
