HyTech Header Decision Making
(2005 s2k)
Pretty soon my 20th birthday will be up and im trying to figure out what header to get. I heard the HyTech was the only long tubed header available, correct me if im wrong. I was going to get the buddy club and still thinking about it, so really its between the two. Below is a chart that I have no idea what it means, I know its the diameters/etc, but im trying to go above and beyond on this header deal. Also, I plan on supercharging down the road. 4-into-1 Racing Merge Collectors Primary Size 304 Stainless 321 Stainless 1-1/2" $250.00 $275.00 1-5/8" 250.00 275.00 1-3/4" 250.00 275.00 1-7/8" 275.00 300.00 2" 275.00 300.00 2-1/8" 275.00 300.00 2-1/4" 275.00 300.00 2-3/8" 275.00 300.00 2-1/2" 275.00 300.00 Would 2.5'' primary size be too big or cause some sort of problems? Im also going to get the 321 stainless. http://www.hytechexhaust.com/ Im about to email them or call soon for some pricing better estimated pricing. What does s2ki think? |

for the price of a hytech header you're halfway to a used SC kit, lol
Skip the header and just supercharge now haha |

ijust installed the hytech header. its a sploogetastic peice. prolly the highest gaining header for a s2k. only sequential paired header i beleive. worth it. but, so hard to get. they just happened to have two when i called back in december. i bought one of them. hope they have the other still, otherwise, your waiting for it. a long while

Well yea thats true....you do have a point there. But all in all, I was PLANNING on going n/a for awhile and then going f/i...just to try the best of both worlds
It is not a long tube though.... there were some gains on a supercharged car but nothing super spectacular. I can post dyno charts on Monday..we did alot of testing on a SoS SC equipped car on Wednesday. The OEM header and cat worked very well on a car that was making 375-385whp @ 10ish psi |

Be prepared for a possible lengthy wait time after ordering.
