IAT sensor postion upgrade for early S2000

IAT sensor postion upgrade for early S2000
The first generation S2000 suffer a little bit from heat soak in the Inlet at high temps. The IAT sensor is located in a less than ideal postion at the backside of the Intake Manifold.
Honda has latter adressed this and re-located the IAT sensor in the intake hose, close to the air filter.
Is this modification a easy "Plug and Play" upgrade for the earlier modells? Are the sensors (Beside the conncetors) "Interchangeable"?

Removed mine as my engine was bogging,may have been air intake,but ran better in oem position
