K24 cranks have narrower bearing surfaces than our f20/22 cranks. Does that not bother anybody?

No it's a street car

Thats why it probably wouldnt be an issue for you but if you wanted to run the car at high rpm for extensive amounts of time im sure something bad could happen. k24 wasnt meant to be a race motor thats why honda probably didnt make the journals as wide as our f motors

Not being mean here, but where are you getting this information? Just look at how many people out there race with K24s! A reliable engine is a reliable engine. You can build and race any engine especially one that came from honda! I know a handful of people personally who race the K24 from drag racing to global time attack. The K24 engine and crank are both perfect for racing applications.

What information? That the K24 journals are narrower than the f20/22? Look at both cranks side by side and you will see. I never said that this will cause any problems but maybe it will if you rev the shit out of it for a long time like on the track, which is why I said most likely honda did it for the f20c, because it was build to be a sportscar engine while the k24's arent

I am not reffering to specs. I am reffering to the assumption that the engine can not handle racing conditions. http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...a2-engine.aspx

Also, insurance wound up covering it the new engine. However, they'd only deal with the dealer who did the work which pretty much forced my hand to go with an OEM engine.
But now I've the itch for more power. I'm thinking about going the supercharger route...

I have about 2000miles on a 10:1 2.4 shortblock inlinepro built for mine last year. Great service out of them and so far so good with product. Their pricing is completely fair for being some of the best in the s2000 business. When Im ready to put together a back up motor il be going back in Inlinepro.
