to itb or not to itb....
well i just found these...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-ITB-IND...#ht_3136wt_1139 awesome price and ive been wanting them, ive seen all the warnings about how much of a PITA they are to get right but those that did got something like 40+ hp in the midrange, the big question is this, who can tune them well here on long island, and are they practical to run with just an hks single and eventually a header (its my dd nothing too crazy) i know the topics been beat to death sorry guys i just need some input please also ill be in college in miami in the fall if no one up here does them |
The Naturally Aspirated has a few threads about those. I honestly say if its for your DD, dont do it. You have to re-tune your car every so often to keep it running smooth. Also check your local subforum to look for a tuner, you wont find one just asking here. You also wont notice near the gains you want if you dont have full bolt ons either. Why not just do all the bolt ons first, then later on if you still want them, get them.

Do you have money to blow? If so, do it.

Don't... :thumbdn:

Ive been wondering why more people dont go with itb's???

Mainly because they are a PITA to tune, and depending on weather conditions, the tune could be off. To get the most out of your car, you would have to have seasonal tunes. I love the sound, but if you have to spend $2k on the ITBs and then $1k on a stand alone, you might as well FI and get double the power (which is probably the biggest reason people don't
