Default Low power 2.4 build

Just looking for ideas why a freshly built 2.4 is producing only 240 at 7500 rpm. Haven't really had a chance to look at the dyno graphs yet as I was at work all day and received the message about it from the tuner. Sorry short on many details right now. Current mods include asm header, tp and asm exhaust, with the ballade tb, using ID1000 injectors, and inline pro 2.4 stroker kit at 12.5:1 compression on 91 pump gas 87mm piston size. Still using ap2 cams and supertech stuff. Any ideas on the low power?

Really my 2.2 was doing more than this with more aggressive head set up

you only increased your displacement by 197cc so all else equal you should expect about 12hp increase

240whp at 7500rpm sounds about right. Stock 2.2 is like 205-210 at 7800rpm? Don't forget about the trq! That's the primary benefit of stroking an engine. You can massage the top end and make more hp, but its hard to get any added trq without upping the displacement. Keep things in honest perspective. Not sure what your expectations were. You have some expensive exhaust, which im not sure are doing much for you over stock on this engine.

was hoping for 250ish without changing into a different gas. Trq was my main goal in doing the Stroker as I still track this car periodically. I'm aware the exhaust I currently have is hurting overall performance but the local police and CHP around my area really crack down on something overly loud. I still would like to drive the car on the street sometimes. With that being said any suggestions to get to that goal would be appreciated.

I didnt say it was hurting you, I was implying that it may not be money well spent over the stock exhaust if your going for most power per dollar spent, even more so if your trying to keep the noise in check. I dont have any reliable suggestions to give you to hit your goal (assuming your already running an optimum tune) Cams and an increase in rev limit would be a low hanging fruit option, but probably wouldn't be the reliable/best longevity one. Hell just an intake cam from an Ap1 and rev limit increase may do it on the cheapest side.

isn't that only 70mm ? I really should go to 76mm to maximize exhaust but aside from getting one made the only off shelf option is challenge I believe. Not really sure how loud those are either as I have never ran one or seen any in person.
