I recently picked up this exhaust used for a good price and wanted to share my insights due to the limited information about it.

Sound
I would agree with OP in that there is no drone, in fact the change in both volume and tone from stock is quite subtle beyond some added growl.
However, I'll let the exhaust speak for itself. Here's a youtube video I made with a few recordings of the exhaust in action:

Quality / Fitment
Overall it seems to be a well made exhaust with lots of adjustability to get the exhaust tips centered nicely. Although I did have to purchase shorter exhaust bushings as it was hanging a bit lower than my preference.

Weight
I weighed this at 47.5lbs vs. my OEM AP2 exhaust at 53lbs. Unfortunately, this exhaust doesn't provide a significant weight reduction compared to the stock exhaust. The high weight is likely due to the emphasis on sound reduction.

Conclusions
In conclusion, if you're on the hunt for a 70mm exhaust system that maintains a quiet profile and aren't overly concerned about shedding weight, then this exhaust is a solid choice. It feels like this exhaust is essentially a 70mm version of the Fujitsubo Legalis R or the Tanabe/Revel Medallion. My future plan with this exhaust is to get a HFC for a bit more volume and tune the car to take advantage of the improved flow of a HFC + 70mm exhaust.

Hey there. Did you ever get the HFC and tune? I'm curious how this exhaust sounds with that setup.

I have a 70mm HFC and Karcepts tune ('02 AP1) and I'm thinking of replacing my Medallion Touring with a 70mm dual. The MXP seems like a good option, and maybe even the ONLY option if I don't want something too obnoxious.

I got this message from Makin Industries on the MXP
Thank you for your interest and support of our brands.
Unfortunately the s2000 MXP Competition Street exhaust was discontinued. I checked our back stock as well just to see if we had anything lying around but I was unable to find anything.
