your making average power for an ALMOST stock s2k. a test pipe might at 2 or more hp..and that can change up or down due to temperature alone. so ya your doing just fine

thanks for the reply guys i'm pretty sure Manila is in sea level but the climate here tends to get a little hot. the shop owner said the numbers were impressive, saying that its the only N/A s2k in the land that exceeded 200whp on their dyno, and most of the other s2ks were already tuned/modded. One even just got 185whp, but wit ASM goodies (I/H/E) already. &feature=channel

It makes me think twice about modding coz of the possibilty to lose HP instead of gaining

I've got a question though, what's the difference between a 3rd gear dyno pull from a 4th gear one? local tuner says 4th gear pulls will read slightly higher. is this true?

Sounds about right, my 03 with a testpipe and VAFC put down 197HP SAE corrected on a dynojet

Same car made 219 on a Dyno Dynamics

4th gear is the best because it closest to a 1:1 ratio

on a dynojet (inertia dyno) the gear doesn't matter

oh okay. thanks sirs! being that, would it be right to conclude that the local tuner's claim that a 4th gear run would read slightly higher than a 3rd gear run is all bull?
