For what it's worth I've had a few friendly highway runs with some domestics. I slowly pulled on a v6 camaro, I was walked by a ls camaro (we shut down at 120 and he was 1 1/2 cars ahead), and was completely decimated by a g8 gt. I expected to lose all races considering i only have 4 cylinders. Gears are defintely not meant for highway racing though. You're best bet is to run away from a dig, 4th gear and up really don't feel any different.

If I pick a battle I make sure it's something I know I can hold my own against. The corvette ls powered cars are beasts top on. That motor feels as of it never stops pulling. I think with a decent header I'll be better a bit up top. Then again I've set my car up for carving curves, not sprints.

Best sentence in a while... Its funny because I was/kind of am doing that, but trying not to since it doesnt make any sense dumping thousands on this stuff better of with a nice looking strong running car...

i ran my s2000 against a e46 m3 from a dig with i/tp/e and he didnt catch my until 120mph. =]... i ran a 13.6 at 104 with a 2.2 60ft on s***
*y tires. 225/50/16 bridgestone potenzas that where ultra performance which aka no performance. lol im hoping for a 13.3 13.4 on the new 255 bridgestone potenzas re050a =]. they hook wayy better even on the street. ill find out next friday what i run. cant wait.

no tune yet =]. im waiting for my tune from giles, and the tp is test pipe.

^^ strong car man.

back to topic. i believe the s2k in general is a very good yet very expensive car to mod, especially if you're going the N/A route. I think its worth it though, a naturally aspirated four banger that sings to 9k is indeed unlike any other.

IMHO, after the I/H/E/TP/ tune the next best thing to mod would be the tranny. 4.57s on an ap2 tranny mated to an F20 engine would be enough for me.

yeah after full bolt ons, def go gears. ive heard it helps with alot of off the line performance. theres a video somewhere where there was a stock s2000 and a one with gears 4.56s i think or something and he beat hime by 2-3 cars by 100.

no, he was asking how it would stack up against a e46 m3. i simply showed him and suggested a few mods as he had asked. what i do is my business, if i wanted your 2 cents id ask or input id ask. thanks.

Nice video! What exhaust u running? Looks like a single. What's the camera car? Looks like a subie wrx. Get that tune and 4.44 gears and re-run...on a safe track of course!
