New GearTech NA build 2.25lt

Hello Guys, we are just starting a new engine for a customer who does lots of mountain driving and some autocross events. The goal was not ultimate HP like some 300+whp engines we have built in the past but max possible durability and the ability to rev at or near 9000 to retain the engine's character and S2k's special characteristic. We are starting engine assembly tomorrow as we just got some final bits and parts and would like to share with the community this build process. Some initial specs (I will regularly be updating this post as the build progresses until final dyno day).

Engine Block
F20c2 block resleeved (Golden Eagle) -> 89mm
89mm JE pistons (perfect skirt)
Crower maxilight rods with AMS5844 special bolts
Toda Racing F22C crankshaft (90.7mm)
Toda oil pan

Cylinder head
4p CNC
Toda C camshafts and valvetrain
Toda camgears
AT Power shaftless ITBs 52mm

Peripherals
Tegiwa header
HKS 75mm exhaust
70mm test pipe
Ultratech PRO EMS v2 ECU
Subaru WRX STi injectors (565cc)
J's Racing ITB box and intake

The whole car is in the process of complete restoration and apart from engine, we have rebuilt the gearbox (oem parts + 1.206 secondary drive) and the differential (OS Giken LSD). The car just also got a paint blue to restore the shiny monte carlo blue, complete silent block kit, ohlins coilovers, big brake kits, rear wing etc. Stay tuned!

Good god. TODA parts = no expense spared.

Is their crank made by them or is it just a modified OEM crank?

Very cool, please share as much as possible on the build process :)

Ι guess it is a modified OEM crank because it is relatively cheap. Their 100mm is made by them and price sky rockets!

And the journey begins...

Looking forward to the build. Sounds like an excellent parts list. Have you decided what mfg's bearings you'll be using? Any additional oiling/lubrication solutions apart from the oil pan?

Definitely OEM Honda. We need precise and equal clearances so we need the OEM color variation.

No extra oiling solutions for the moment and since we are not running slicks (but high performance Federal FZ-201), the engine will be OK with the baffled oil pan and 'mortal' rev limit.
