New Intake prototype

I like this suggestion. If it's possible to make it rectangular and make it invisible I'd be very interested. I wouldn't imagine that the performance difference would be huge w/ a rectangular opening vs. velocity stack.

Just curious, why does almost every intake I see go down in the bumper with an intake pipe in the passenger side, and not the driver side? It would be shorter in length on the driver's side.
I like the intake design btw, but I'm biased (white ap2 bumper)

The length of the intake tube changes its resonance, which changes the torque curve. Basically, shorter intake tubes aren't necessarily better. The driver side is also where the air pump resides in older S2000's.

I'm not trying to beat anyone up here, but there is a point where minimal power improvement doesn’t justify the means, ie; cost or looks to achieve it. So far I think we just found that line. Are we running experimental class salt flat cars? Or street cars that you have to look at and drive everyday? Creativity is great, but only coupled with good judgment and reasoning skills. The S2000 is functional art, neglecting one for the other isnt how its done best inmop. Every custom modification I have performed on my own car gets this consideration, function AND form, if I can’t execute this balance then it won’t get done, but that’s just me. In most cases it is possible to achieve both, look no further then many of the high dolor exotic sport cars of today. Part of the fun with modding the S is it is a rather great platform to work with, but it does have to be worked around as well.
