I'm running the Blox 68mm cast throttle body. It works great, and is a TRUE 68mm all the way through; unlike the SoS (which I had) which tapers down from a 68 to a 64. The great thing about the cast version rather than a billet 70 is that the cast TB's don't have that sticky throttle feel or the need to mess with the TPS sensor. It also looks stock! That's just what I think tho. I believe the price is around $150.

^ got myself one as well, and it does look like stock wit a very good price! I haven't installed it though. Its a direct bolt on right? It makes me wonder why people dont consider this an option wit its price and its not a core exchange basis too.

^ Just got this off inlinefour's site about the blox 68mm t.b. "To be exact, our measurments are 68.05 opening tapered to a 65.03 back-end" so not 68 all the way through, i wish though. i have a extrude honed intake manifold with a bigger opening and a 70mm thermal spacer, i purchased the manifold w/ a 74/68 tb. it was a lil better but started to stick bad. i've use other billet tb from rpm and various companies and they all got sticky over time no matter how much i cleaned them, back to stock now looking for j's 66mm tb but considering the SOP tb too. would love to hear some long term reviews on it.

^ http://www.inlinefour.com/bl68tusethbo.html Honestly I'm just afraid to waste more money on a TB that sticks. Also I'm confused as to why there isn't more TB's for our car. I built a 9500rpm d16z6, i ran a skunk 2 intake manifold and a 70mm tb on that and the car loved it, my h22 had a 80/78mm tb and with my custom intake manifold on a stock long block i gained 20whp. later when i went 2.4l fully built, it was still a beast. makes no sense that 66mm is the biggest plate we can find and that's the J's TB. I think if it came down to saving money, if the Blox 68 doesn't stick, I'd have it machined to at least a 72 or 70 inlet to make it close to J's specs. I wish there was an official TB post as well on here for our cars. I have found allot of good links from u guys on shops that machine or sell TB like SOS, Maxbore, and Polarbeartuning. Feed back on all of these would be great!

^I agree. I ran a 68mm TB on with my Euro R IM on my stock internal H22. It made a huge difference compaired to the OEM manifold and 60mm TB. VTEC cross-over was much harsher(OEM ECU) and the power felt like it dropped off later in the RPM's; with S300 the curve felt great. Although, I've seen very few people run bigger that 70mm TB's on there build H22's.

I don't think it'll stick. Its not made out of billet and its cast aluminum-- just like the stock piece. and yes you can bore it out and make it a 70mm piece as well, the sidewalls are kinda thick, as thick also as the stock piece.

haven't really installed mine yet but got some good responses from the posters here who tried it.

^ lmao. Funny as it is, we all mix and match cheap and expensive at some point. I have Rota D2 wheels but i have AD08 n R1R tires. I hate when I see Volks w/ some hard compound cheep tires, makes me want to slap em. When I can afford it I'll upgrade. I have Megan Racing driveshaft spacers but that's just spacers. This TB issue, I'll go with name reliability, If J's can push 300whp on a 2.2l and still run a plenum type intake manifold over ITB's using a 66mm TB, well then I'd have to say they know whats up

Stay away from OBX. They make garbage.
ironically, its the same TB no matter if you get it from obx, bdl, skunk2 etc. it doesnt matter. The SOS may be different. I cant speak for them at all.

but, dont listen to these folks, the obx is fine. Trust me. just grab an extra throttle spring (applies to them all).
