S2000 Type-R - Which Exhaust? Best Motoring
 

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally heard the exhaust that I want, but I need your help in identifying it. The second half of the video below features a blue S2000 ‘Type-R’ build. If anyone can tell me with certainty which exhaust it uses, I will be extremely grateful.

Judging from the other amuse parts on the car I would guess it is one of the Amuse singles and given the year that would also be my guess.

Thank you! I noticed the Amuse sticker, but I'm not familiar enough with specific parts to spot anything beyond that.

Sorry for the duplicate threads. I figured that the NA forum would be more dedicated to responding, but I didn't want to post something non-functional like, 'omg i love the exhaust sound'. After posting in the general Mods forum, I realized that I needed a quicker response (currently managing a move overseas), and thought that I could delete the other thread.

Yeah the hood is an amuse hood and I think the wing is as well but not sure. The super brief shot of the exhaust looks like one of their exhausts.

The exhaust is the "AMUSE R1000".It's one of the best if not the best for a s2000,it's 70mm headerback exhaust full titanium.Very rare and very expensive if you somehow find it.

Thank you! A quick search gave me an idea of the price, and...it'll never really be worthwhile for me. That money is a flight or two to somewhere I've never been before. That sound is a thrill all by itself. Too bad. :drive: :crycry:

Thats one of the early Amuse s2000's with the late boss Hideki Tanabe.

OP, if you can't afford the r1000 an invidia n1 would sound similar for a fraction of the cost.

I think the Tomei Expreme Titanium would be a lot more similar, no resonator and titanium just like the Amuse, two very important things for sound the Invidia differs in.

The Tomei is similar in concept but sounds way worse to me. It’s unreal raspy.
