Single exit exhaust for AP1

Hi,

Just wondering what peoples opinions are of single exhausts for AP1.

Not so bothered about performance more interested in sound/looks etc.

To clarify it will be a single exit stainless steel cat back exhaust (custom built by AAS, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK)and I will be keeping cat, header etc standard.

Regards.

Both are subjective. I like the look of one. Sound wise, I've had a magnaflow single on my boosted S2k and it sounded awesome........put that exhaust on my friends non boosted S2k and it was WAY to loud and ricey. Currently I'm running a Forcewerkz single on a non boosted S2k, and we shall see how it sounds.

Certainly agree with you with regards singles 'looks' plus you can argue they save weight etc; therefore arguably better performance (even if negligible without other mods).

My only issue is that I am getting a 'bespoke' exhaust and so wont know what it is going to sound like until its running; however the company do have a solid reputation and a lot of people have recommended them, so I feel I needn't worry.

The only negative for some people is the fact the bumper is set up for twin not an issue for me as its nothing a good body shop cant sort!

If sound is all you care about, I would just get the single exit off ebay that sells for just over 100 shipped. A few sound clips on youtube of it.

Sound isn't my main concern, admittedly I wanted something that sounds nice but could live with as a daily.

I think its just a case that I prefer the look of a single and although negligible there are arguments that it saves weight and slightly increases performance (no that I will really notice to be honest)

Thanks for the options, but I am getting a 'bespoke' exhaust built by a local company. Should be good however I couldn't find another S2000 which has been done by them so have no real idea what it will sound like or look like for that matter. They do have a very good reputation and are booked up for 3 months so bodes well for final results.
