skunk2 exhaust vs buddy club
Hello s2ki fam!
Just need your input, I'm shopping for a new exhaust system. I already have the berk 70mm test pipe ready to go. I'm deciding between the the buddy club spec 3 or skunk2 megapower exhaust. I KNOW one is single and the other is dual, but I'm getting a good deal on the buddy club and even a better deal on the skunk2 exhaust. So just wanna know what u guys think. Thanks

the buddy club exhaust is garbage and I wouldn't rate the skunk one much higher. Get in on this deal instead https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/915...learance-sale/

op- i wouldn't buy neither of them. i never owned a skunk2 dual exhaust but i heard it's just as loud and obnoxious as my old buddy club. and here's another reason why i wouldn't buy neither of em. your getting a 70mm tp right? then dont' go smaller than 70mm after it. both skunk2 and buddy club are about 2.5" or less. just a heads up. IMO i would settle for the greddy 70mm ti-c. i've had mine for a couple years now and never looked back.

I've got a skunk2 - it's loud, but not too bad when you keep the silencers in. Supposedly, they don't reduce power either, which is nice. Not that I'd notice the difference. The exhaust was on the car when I bought it.
I will say this - I am 34 years old and without the silencers, I find the exhaust to be annoyingly loud, especially when I am groggy and driving into work in the morning. I left them out for a few weeks and had to put the silencers back in. "Younger" folks may have the louder=better attitude though. I don't think it sounds like a fart can though.

The skunk2 is what I will be getting along with their tp and header. A company designs their products to work in conjunction with each other. Keep in mind that kraftwerks is run by the same family that owns skunk2, so the kraftwerks s/c was most likely developed using a skunk2 exhaust. The skunk2 is also one of the only exhausts that I have found not to be raspy while in vtec. I had a full s2 exhaust on my 8th gen si, and where it was very loud at wot, I could keep the db's low if I wanted to around town by shifting low etc. I also was never pulled over for it. A cop even told me he liked the tone of it and that it was loud, but "didn't sound like those ricer f*ggots." I lol'd, he told me to have a good night.
Hope that helps.
