Some questions about the JDM F20c vs USDM F20c1

You're not getting answers as no one here knows the specific of the KDM engine.
too get an answer you i would suggest you ask in the UK / JAP / APAC part of the forum, the technical guys over there might have more / different answers.
for the car in my sig - i swapped a euro-tuned engine for a JDM engine (from BMW) and the two had subtle differences (although no output power diff)
but i would assume no one would expect to know the diffs unless had to really mess with them.

I think i can help you a little bit.I own an eudm ap1 with the f20c1 engine which is similar with the usdm f20c.I swapped the eudm engine for a jdm f20c+jdm ecu. That's the fastest combination you can get for an s2000.The car is way faster than the eudm f20c especially in the 7000-9000rpm range.Tested with friend's s2000 ap1 with fbo and the jdm only intake-testpipe very easy 3 cars length ahead the jdm from a roll.No way a eudm f20 or f22 is faster.Mine with i/h/e raced m3's e46,z4m coupe and never lost!Always ahead, and tried a rs4 4.2 n/a from a dig, dead even till 100mph!I was very suprised with this motor especially as the miles are getting high,it seems very powerfull even with 5th gear at135+mph!!But you need to run the engine only with 100ron gas(euro ron)! And of course we're talking for a healthy jdm engine not a crappy one.If you can get a low mileage healthy jdm f20c,go for it,and it's not only the 0.6 c/r difference!Got different cams also!Measured from mechanics here, the f20ceudm cams are different than the f20c jdm cams.Hope i helped.

This is simple: More compression makes more power, always. The only time it doesn't is when your fuel can't support the compression and you either have to run less than optimal timing or you pre ignite.
Yes, the JDM F20 makes more power because it has higher compression.
And a a note to liquid helix - it would have been nice to see what your Endyn motor could have made NA with some real compression like 11.5:1. A lot more than 212whp for sure.
cheers,
